Four premium turf types grown on our Roxboro farm, each suited for different conditions across central North Carolina.
Our Pennington Signature Series fescue is a superior dark green blend bred for drought, heat, and disease resistance. The most shade tolerant option β perfect for year-round green lawns. In-ground irrigation recommended.
Uses nearly half the water of other turf types. Quick to green up in spring, holds color into November. NC State research proves it's the top performer across our state. Cold tolerant to zone 6b.
The lowest-maintenance option in our lineup. Needs less mowing and fertilizing than any other variety. A thick, durable turf that handles moderate shade and traffic with ease.
The classic choice for a manicured, golf-course-quality lawn. Thrives in full sun with regular irrigation and fertilization. Dense, fine-textured, and proven for decades.

Installing sod is straightforward β prep, install, water. Here's what you need to know.
Till the area to a depth of 4" and rake smooth. Apply 1 bag of pelletized lime per 1,000 sq ft unless a soil test says otherwise. Ask us for fertilizer guidance specific to your turf type and time of year.
Time is critical β sod can decompose in hours in warm weather. Unroll without overlapping or leaving gaps. Offset rows in a brick pattern to hide seams. Begin watering immediately after laying.
Water daily (or more in extreme heat) for the first two weeks. Don't let the top layer dry out. Week three, switch to every other day. Full rooting takes 3-4 weeks. Some fading during rooting is normal.
Figure out how much sod you need. Enter your measurements and we'll calculate the pallets required.
For irregular shapes, break into rectangles and add them together. We add 5% for waste and seams.
